The thread limit plug gauge combines the thread Go gauge plug and the thread NO-GO gauge plug. This allows you to test internal thread with a single gauge. The GO side has a complete thread profile that must be able to be turned completely into the thread by hand when testing. The scrap side is different - it has a shortened thread profile. If it can be screwed in further than two turns, the cut thread is not OK. To achieve an accurate test result, you should ensure that the thread to be tested is clean and free of lubricant residue. The ambient temperature and the temperature of the component should both be 20 degrees. Otherwise, the test result may be falsified.
