UNiTap
UNiTap is a range of universal taps developed by BAER Tools GmbH. They are designed to be used in a wide variety of materials – from aluminium to high-strength steels.
The special cutting geometry reduces forces at the lead-in, lowers the required torque and ensures reliable chip guidance, preventing blockages. This results in a longer tool life and reliable thread cutting results.
UNiTap taps are generally made from HSSE (high-alloy high-speed steel with cobalt) and feature a TiAlN coating, making them more resistant to heat and wear. They are available in two versions:
- Form B – for through holes (forward chip evacuation)
- Form C – for blind holes (upward chip evacuation)
UNiTap taps thus offer a practical solution suitable for craftsmen, workshops and industrial use alike.
