Plug Gauge
A plug gauge is used to check internal or external threads for dimensional and form accuracy – similar to a go thread plug gauge, but often simpler or less form-precise.
Use:
- In workshops for checking before assembly.
- Also as a substitute when no go thread plug gauge is available.
Practical example:
A plug gauge is inserted into an internal thread to check that the thread reaches flush with the part end and shows no blockage or run-out.
