The design of the tap extension is as simple as it is effective. It is a shaft that ends in an external square at the upper end and has an internal square on the other side. Both sides have the same square dimension. All our tap extensions are made of robust steel and standardised according to DIN 377. For the usual BAER quality you can always rely on.

This is how it works: The tap extension in use
In use, the tap extension proves to be simple and intuitive. First, of course, you have to choose the right extension for the screw tap you want to use. Insert the outer square of the tap extension into a tap wrench. Then you can insert the screw tap into the inner square of the tap extension. Now you can cut the thread as usual. If you are using a hand tap set, change in sequence taper tap (No. 1), intermediate Tap (No. 2) and finishing tap (No. 3). The simple plug-in connection makes this effortless, and thanks to the sturdy construction, you do not have to fear any loss in safe use. With our tap extensions you can work as cleanly as ever and produce precise threads even in hard-to-reach places.
You only need to note that the tap extensions presented here are only suitable for manual use. For machine taps, you need a special form of extension that has a way of fixing.
