Does the actual flank diameter of the internal thread exceed the prescribed maximum dimension? You can reliably determine this with the calibrated thread NO-GO gauge plug. If you can screw the thread NO-GO gauge plug into the thread from both sides by hand by no more than two turns, your thread is dimensionally accurate. The internal thread-outer diameter and internal thread-core diameter are not checked.
