Cutting speed vc [m/min] = (Outer diameter * π * speed) / 1000
Rotation speed n [1/min] = (Cutting speed in m/min * 1000) / (Outer diameter * π)
Feedrate programming [mm/min] = speed * pitch
Please note that the above cutting speeds are indicative and must be adjusted depending on lubrication and actuation.
Combi-bit- screw tap - core hole drilling and thread cutting in one step
#pragmatic
BAER combi-bit taps are designed for thread cutting with cordless drills and hand drills with clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation. However, they are also suitable for thread cutting on stationary drills. Their field of application is the machining of steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics (up to 600 N/mm² tensile strength). Only through-threads up to a maximum thread depth of 1 x D can be produced. They are particularly useful for assembly work and small series. Make sure that the tool axis and hole axis are exactly aligned and use a suitable cutting oil. For thread cutting with cordless drills and hand drills we recommend the following speeds:
M 3 x 0.5: max. 1600 rpmM 4 x 0.7: max. 1200 rpm
M 5 x 0.8: max. 950 rpm
M 6 x 1.0: max. 800 rpm
M 8 x 1.25: max. 600 rpm
M 10 x 1.5: max. 450 rpm
