BAER TriTap Set HSSE-VAP: Tap blind hole | Core drill: M 3 - 12
This TriTap tap set for blind hole threads is a high-quality and versatile set for all requirements when tapping precise threads in blind holes. It contains machine screw tap in sizes M 3 to M 12 as well as the matching twist drills with trihedral shank for precise core hole drilling. The special feature of TriTap: In addition to the square shank, the taps have a triangular shank, which guarantees a firm hold even in manual machines. This means that the tools can be used in stationary machines such as CNC systems and tapping machines as well as flexibly in hand-held drilling machines.
\n\nMadefrom high-alloy HSSE steel with 5 % cobalt and a vaporised surface, the TriTap taps impress with their extreme wear resistance, high heat resistance and long tool life. The special geometry of the blind hole version ensures controlled chip transport upwards out of the blind hole, reduces the risk of chip jams and enables a precise, dimensionally accurate thread right to the bottom of the hole. This also makes the set suitable for difficult-to-cut materials such as stainless steel. The TriTap blind hole tap set is supplied in a robust plastic box for safe transport and organised storage. A set that no workshop should be without.
Tip for optimum results: Always start tapping at a low speed so that the first threads can work their way cleanly into the workpiece. This allows you to achieve precise and smooth results right from the start. Also ensure that the tap is guided straight and perpendicular to the hole. This is the only way to ensure that the load is evenly distributed and your tool delivers perfect results over the long term - even with demanding materials.

TriTap blind hole - Flexibility meets precision
The unique shank geometry of the TriTap blind hole tap enables safe use in both machines and hand-held devices. Thanks to the three flat surfaces on the shank, the drill bit sits stably and securely even in a standard drill chuck, preventing it from slipping. Particularly practical for mobile use or when no stationary machine is available. The special blind hole geometry ensures short leads and optimised chip evacuation upwards - ideal if the drill bit has to end at the bottom of the hole. This allows precise threads to be produced reliably even in blind holes.
Advantages of the TriTap tap:
- Innovative shank shape for a tight fit, even in manual machines
- Universally applicable - even for stainless steel!
- Best quality and long tool life thanks to HSSE-VAP
- for almost every application
- long tool life
- ideal for all workshops and craftsmen with changing requirements
- enormous cost savings - only one tool for all applications

HSSE-VAP twist drill with three-flat shank for core drilling
#without is not possible
Almost every DIY enthusiast has worked with them: the classic drilling tools for cordless screwdrivers, drills, impact drills or rotary hammers. Not only the material, but also the cutting geometry, the rake angle and the helix angle, the so-called twist, are decisive for the area of application of the drill bit. These drill bits are particularly stable and made of high-alloy HSSE/cobalt steel with excellent heat resistance and extremely high concentricity. For drilling iron, steels, cast materials, bronzes, tempered and case-hardening steels up to 1200 N/mm², as well as high-strength alloys based on CrNi and rust-, acid- and heat-resistant steels such as V2A, V4A, INOX. The core holes are essential for subsequently cutting an internal thread.
