BAER TriTap Set HSSE-VAP: Tap through hole | Core drill: M 3 - 12
This TriTap tap set is a high-quality and versatile set for all tapping requirements. It contains machine screw tap in sizes M 3 to M 12 as well as the matching twist drills with triangular shank for precise core hole drilling. The special feature of TriTap: In addition to the square shank, the taps have a triangular shank, which guarantees a firm hold even in manual machines. This means that the tools can be used in stationary machines such as CNC systems and tapping machines as well as flexibly in hand-held drilling machines.
Manufactured from high-alloy HSSE steel with 5 % cobalt and a vaporised surface, the TriTap taps impress with their extreme wear resistance, high heat resistance and long tool life. Vaporisation ensures that there is less friction, the oil adheres better and the tools are protected against corrosion. The set is therefore also suitable for difficult-to-cut materials such as stainless steel. The TriTap tap set is supplied in a robust plastic box for safe transport and organised storage. A set that no workshop should be without.
Tip for optimum results: Always start tapping at a low speed so that the first threads can work their way cleanly into the workpiece. This will help you achieve precise and smooth results right from the start. Also ensure that the tap is guided straight and perpendicular to the hole. This is the only way to ensure that the load is evenly distributed and your tool delivers perfect results over the long term - even with demanding materials.

Cutting speed vc [m/min] = (Outer diameter * π * speed) / 1000
Rotation speed n [1/min] = (Cutting speed in m/min * 1000) / (Outer diameter * π)
Feedrate programming [mm/min] = speed * pitch
Please note that the above cutting speeds are indicative and must be adjusted depending on lubrication and actuation.

TriTap - Our most flexible high-end tap
The unique shank geometry of the TriTap tap enables safe use in both machines and hand-held devices. Thanks to the three flat surfaces on the shank, the drill is stable and secure even in a standard drill chuck, preventing it from slipping. Particularly practical for mobile use or when no stationary machine is available. This means that even spontaneous repairs or installations can be carried out precisely without having to forego the advantages of a professional machine tap
Advantages of the TriTap tap:
- Innovative shank shape for a tight fit, even in manual machines
- Universally applicable - even for stainless steel!
- Best quality and long tool life thanks to HSSE-VAP
- for almost every application
- long tool life

HSSE-VAP twist drills for precise core hole drilling
The twist drills included in the set are made of cobalt-alloyed HSSE steel with a vaporised surface, which makes them particularly resistant to heat and wear. The three-flat shank ensures a tight fit in the drill chuck even at high torques and prevents slipping. These drills can be used universally, even in difficult materials such as stainless steel, and guarantee clean, dimensionally accurate core holes - the perfect basis for precise threads.
