Taper Shank Arbor DIN 238 | MT 1 | B 16
The taper shank arbor according to DIN 238 connects the machine spindle with the tool clamping head (e.g. drill chuck). It has a Morse taper MT1 with flat tang (ejector tang), which can be picked up by the machine (e.g. drill press) and a taper B16 which can be picked up by the drill chuck. At the end of the Morse taper is a flat tang (ejector tang) (standardised according to DIN 228 part 1) through which the taper shank arbor can be easily removed from the spindle without damaging the machine spindle.Our taper mandrels are fully hardened and precision-ground to enable high precision, strength and long tool life time.

Morse taper dimensions

This taper shank arbor MT 1 has a diameter of 9.37 mm at the thinnest point and 12.24 mm at the thickest point. The taper shank arbor has a flat tang (ejector tang) and is therefore ideal for use on bench drills or pillar drills.

Taper dimensions
