When testing the external thread, it must be possible to screw the full thread profile of the ring gauge completely onto the thread. The BAER good ring gauge checks the so-called mating dimension as well as the screw-on ability. Since the thread-good ring gauge wears out more quickly, it should be checked again and again with the wear test mandrel. With the thread limit ring gauge, also called a ring gauge nut, you can check the flank and core diameter of external threads. The material of the thread limit ring gauges consists of high-quality special gauge steel. This allows you to use your ring gauges for a long time for reliable thread testing.
