The tip of the tools in the SDS-Plus hammer drill set is made of tungsten carbide cobalt - clearly recognisable by the colouring, which differs from the rest of the drill. SDS-Plus shank

The SDS system for drill shanks was developed by Bosch back in the 1970s and has since enjoyed great popularity across all brands. The abbreviation originally stood for "plug-in rotary seat". In the meantime, however, the internationally understandable form "Special Direct System" has become common.
