Machine taps - fast and precise tapping
#Efficiency
The precision of BAER machine taps and the relief-ground thread ensure that there is less friction and temperature at thread cutting. To prevent the thread profile from completely rubbing against the workpiece, the thread is already cut over the entire thread profile clearance angle. This means that the tap has to apply less force and chip jamming can be avoided. The result: tool life is increased and the tap needs to be replaced less frequently.
Our machine taps are powerful and reliable taps for efficient machining in one step with the machine. Machine taps are used especially in industrial production. They can be used in CNC machines, thread cutting machines, cordless drills and pneumatic tapping arms, among others. As they are characterised by high efficiency and low production costs, they are often used in series production. The thread is cut by machine in one operation. Thus, although the BAER machine tap can basically be compared with single-cut taps, it is designed for use with the machine.
The machine taps can be used for through holes, as the long lead-in, the straight flute shape and the spiral point (spiral entry) ensure that the chip is transported forward out of the hole.
Every material shows individual chip behaviour. Therefore, screw tap must have the correct rake angle and - for even better results - a specially treated surface. This is the only way to achieve a good chip transport and to produce a thread that is true to gauge.
The high quality of the ground HSS steel we use ensures that our tools are extremely durable and robust. Due to special hardening processes and repeated tempering the hardness structure is very homogeneous, which forms the ideal basis for a genuine BAER screw tap. This increases the toughness and stability of the screw tap, allowing them to remain in use for longer.
The advantages at a glance:
- Straight grooves with spiral point (spiral entry) for through holes
- Less friction and temperature due to clearance angle in thread
- Efficient machining in one step
- For use in CNC machines, thread cutting machines, tapping arms etc.

HSSG twist drill bit for core hole drilling
#You can't do without it
Almost every do-it-yourselfer has worked with them: the classic drilling tools for cordless screwdrivers, drills, impact drills or hammer drills. Decisive for the field of application of the drill is not only the material, but also the cutting edge geometry, the rake angle and the spiral angle, the so-called twist. The drills are suitable for steel, cast steel, grey cast iron, malleable cast iron, nodular cast iron, sintered iron, nickel silver and graphite and are also suitable for precise and fast work due to their ground drill point. The core hole drillings are essential for cutting a internal thread afterwards.
