BAER HSSG Machine Nut Tap TR 14 x 3 - LEFT
BAER HSSG Machine Nut Tap TR 14 x 3 - LEFT
The left-hand cutting trapezoidal nut taps are used to produce nuts with left-hand trapezoidal thread according to DIN 103. A left-hand thread is closed counterclockwise. The trapezoidal screw tap left-hand is also operated counterclockwise. About 2/3 of the thread length of the tap is used as chamfer. The long tap lead ensures a good chip distribution and increases the tool life time enormously. In addition, the surface of the cut thread is given a very high quality and thus ensures a secure hold and even distribution of forces in the screw connection. This is what the proven BAER quality stands for.
Trapezoidal nut taps are suitable for short through holes up to a maximum of 1.0 x thread- nominal diameter and can accommodate several cut nuts due to their long overflow shank. The trapezoidal thread has a much larger profile surface than, for example, a normal metric thread. Since this large area has to be removed at thread cutting, significantly higher cutting forces are generated than when cutting a metric thread. The maximum thread length of 1.0 x D should not be exceeded, otherwise the trapezoidal tap can break. The machining of different materials is just as sensitive. If a longer thread is to be cut or a material that is difficult to machine is to be machined, we can offer a suitable tool quickly and at short notice. Please send an enquiry to us.
The precision of the BAER nut taps and the relief-ground thread ensure that less friction and temperature are generated at thread cutting. To prevent the thread profile from rubbing completely against the workpiece, the thread is already cut over the entire thread profile clearance angle. This means that the tap has to apply less force and chip jamming can be avoided.
Our machine nut taps are powerful and reliable taps for efficient machining of nuts in one step with the machine. Nut taps are used especially in industrial manufacturing. As they are characterised by high efficiency and low production costs, they are often used in series production. The thread is cut by machine in one operation.
The high quality of the cobalt-alloyed HSSE steel we use ensures that our tools are extremely durable and robust. Due to special hardening processes and repeated tempering the hardness structure is very homogeneous, which forms the ideal basis for a genuine BAER screw taps. This increases the toughness and stability of the screw taps, allowing them to remain in use for longer.
