With the BaerCoil® NoTang installation tool, you can easily and efficiently install M 12 wire thread inserts in your workpiece without tang. The machine installation tool is only suitable for studless wire thread inserts.
The high efficiency of the BaerCoil® NoTang installation tools proves itself above all in series production. With the 1/4" hexagonal connection, the installation tool fits into any electric or pneumatic screwdriver, and can also be operated by hand, e.g. with a bit screwdriver. The adjustable depth limit ensures that the thread insert is always inserted to the same depth.
For an exact depth limitation, the lock nuts must be adjusted to the corresponding installation depth (1/4 - 1/2 turn below the surface). The nuts can be tightened and loosened with an open-end spanner of width across flats 17. The thread insert can then be screwed onto the insertion tool. Since the NoTang thread insert has a notch on both sides, it does not need to be oriented and can be screwed into the holding thread immediately. As soon as the lock nut rests on the workpiece, the machine must be set to counterclockwise rotation so that the screwing-in tool unscrews from the thread insert. Hard contact of the tool with the workpiece must be avoided to prevent damage to the workpiece, the tool and the thread insert.
