The BAER limit plug gauge is a unique testing device that allows you to test internal thread with a single gauge. The GO side of the plug gauge has a full thread profile that must be able to be turned fully into the thread by hand when testing. The reject side is different - it has a shortened thread profile. If it can be screwed in further than two turns, the cut thread is not in order. This unique function of the BAER limit plug gauge guarantees the highest precision and quality in the production of internal threads. The thread to be tested must be clean and free of lubricant residues. To achieve an accurate test result, make sure that the thread to be tested is clean and free of lubricant residues. The ambient temperature and the temperature of the component should be at 20 degrees. Otherwise, the test result may be falsified.
Note on STI thread
These are STI thread / or STI threads. This thread has an oversize and is only used in combination with wire thread inserts (e.g. BaerCoil).
This plug gauge is used to test the gauge accuracy of the holding thread of the thread inserts.
Calibration
