Go Thread Plug Gauge
A go thread plug gauge is a gauging element for checking whether a thread has been cut correctly – e.g. whether tolerances, pitch, flank angle and profile depth are within specification.
Application:
- Quality control before assembly.
- Ensuring that screws or nuts will fit correctly and flush later.
Practical example:
An M8 × 1 go thread plug gauge is inserted into an internal thread; if it enters smoothly without play, the thread is correct.
