No-Go Thread Plug Gauge
A no-go thread plug gauge is a test gauge used to check whether a thread is within the maximum permissible dimensions (limits) – both in terms of outer diameter and fit.
Application:
- Quality control in series production.
- Ensuring that parts comply with standardised limit dimensions.
Practical example:
A no-go plug gauge is inserted into a finished external thread – if it slides in too easily, the thread is too loose; if it does not fit at all, the thread is oversized or distorted.
