Thread gauges are tools or gauges for measuring/checking threads – e.g. go thread plug gauges, internal gauges, ring gauge sets etc.
What to look out for:
- Matching tolerance class.
- Standard-compliant profiles and pitches.
Practical example:
A quality inspector uses an internal gauge to check whether a produced internal thread is flawless before the part goes to assembly.
